2026 UN Water Conference

The 2026 UN Water Conference will take place from 2-4 December, 2026, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Conference, co-hosted by Senegal and the UAE, aims to accelerate the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6), enhance global water governance, and further elevate water-related issues on the international agenda.

The upcoming UN Water Conference presents a singular opportunity for global leadership. WWFF is actively building partnerships to ensure that narrative and storytelling are central to the discussions. By aligning with WWFF, your organization can contribute to and shape the narrative around the conference's six core themes:

  • Water for People: Showcasing the human right to water and sanitation.

  • Water for Prosperity: Highlighting the role of water in economic development.

  • Water for Planet: Telling the stories of climate resilience and ecosystem protection.

  • Water for Cooperation: Documenting successful transboundary and scientific partnerships.

  • Water in Multilateral Processes: Supporting the achievement of SDG 6.

  • Investments for Water: Demonstrating the impact of innovative financing and technology.

A partnership with WWFF provides a direct and impactful way to engage with these themes and demonstrate your commitment to a water-secure future.

What are PFAS?

PFAS—our so-called “forever chemicals”—are everywhere: flowing through our water, seeping into our soil, and coursing silently through our blood. Once invisible, they now carry a staggering toll—cancer, infertility, immune collapse—while billion-dollar lawsuits and community uprisings reveal just how deep the damage runs. Science is racing to catch up, and the truth is unavoidable: the PFAS crisis is one of the greatest public health and environmental reckonings of our time.
